Steve Pickle is the Executive Vice President of Global People Strategy and Operations at Salesforce. In this role, he oversees the company’s global people operations, leading a team of data scientists, IT specialists, and global shared service providers to deliver a world-class working environment and scale Salesforce’s award-winning culture to more than 35,000 employees. Steve is also a member of the CEO Executive Committee and the Compliance & Risk Committee.
During his time at Salesforce, Steve has lead sales, strategy and operations across the organization. In his previous role, Steve was the senior vice president of cloud sales in the Americas, overseeing a specialist sales organization accountable for sales across multiple products. Steve also served as the Chief Pipeline Officer, reporting weekly to the co-CEOs and ensuring cross-company execution of all new pipeline globally. Before that, Steve served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Enterprise Business Unit and head of Global Sales Strategy & Operations. In these roles, Steve worked closely with sales, product and marketing leadership to scale Salesforce execution and growth in the enterprise specifically.
Steve has over 20 years of experience driving growth for global technology companies. Before joining Salesforce, he was vice president of customer operations at VMware, where he directed company-wide sales transformation initiatives and the creation of an enterprise consultative selling team. Steve also directed the West Coast technology practice for Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), where he was a partner and head of the San Francisco office. Previously, he served in the Communications and High Tech Strategy Practice at Accenture. Steve has an M.B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles, a Master of Science from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Grinnell College. Steve lives in Marin County with his family.
